Hi everyone! Let the count down begin. Today it is officially one month until I take off for Vanuatu. The preparations are fully underway. On Tuesday I received four vaccinations for my travels: Hep A, Hep B, Tetanus, and Typhoid fever. Now to work on procuring much needed medical supplies to take with me for the hospital.
To that end, I thought I would put a call out to Seattle area midwifery locals to see if you, your preceptors, or clients might have extra unused medical supplies that they would consider donating to a worthy cause. I know at my site some items from birth kits really start to accumulate. Here is a list of items particularly in need:
Sterile and non-sterile gloves
Amnihooks
Cord clamps
Chucks pads
Overnight pads
